SSSTS – Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme Course
Our Site supervisor safety training scheme – SSSTS course is CITB accredited and delivered by our in-house qualified and experienced course instructors.
This two day health and safety course is designed for individuals working as supervisors in the building, civil engineering and construction industries and for those individuals about to take up those responsibilities.
CITB Accreditation
The SSSTS course is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and recognised by BUILDUK as meeting the required standard for all supervisors and team leaders working on BUILDUK sites.
On successful completion of this course you will recieve a certificate from the CITB that will be valid for 5 years. In order to remain certified however, you will need to retake the course before the certificate expiry date.
CITB Grant
This course is CITB grant claimable so don’t forget to provide your CITB number on the booking form or ask your employer the number you should be using. Further details regarding the CITB Levy and CITB course funding can be found here.
Course Availability
Tudar Skills Training runs the SSSTS course frequently to meet the needs of its delegates. We also understand that many individuals cannot afford to take time off during the week and for that reason you will find our two-day SSSTS course is delivered in a number of different ways:
- During the week and at weekends
- In a physical classroom with one of our tutors
- Remotely via a virtual classroom with one of our tutors
SSSTS Course Frequency
New courses start weekly at one of our training centre’s throughout Central & South East England and we are able to provide for in-house courses at your organisations venue should that be preferable.
All of our CITB Site Safety Supervisor (SSSTS) courses run from:- 08:30 – 16:30.

SSSTS Course Detail
The course will provide you with an understanding of health and safety law and how it applies to construction site supervisors. It identifies your supervisory responsibilities in controlling a site safely through effective risk assessements, site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings. You will also learn about the monitoring of construction site activities in an effective manner and the importance of timely interventions to prevent incidents.
CITB Course Accreditation & Recognition

Pre-Requisites for the SSSTS Course

Site Safety Plus (SSP) Scheme
The SSSTS course is only one of the courses provided as part of the Site Safety Plus (SSP) scheme. These courses provide the construction industry with a suite of courses aimed at health and safety on construction sites and ongoing career development in order to maintain a safe workforce.

SSP Course Design
The courses are designed to give everyone from senior managers to operatives the skills they need to progress through the industry. The starting point is a one-day Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) course, a qualification that underpins the issue of a CSCS Labourer Card, to the five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
